It’s Nikki again, this time with a short update.
In my last post, I wrote about attending my mammogram and MRI appointments. Today’s post is just a follow-up. The results came back “normal”, meaning there is no evidence of cancer in my mammogram or MRI. (Wooohooooo!!!) The Ontario Breast Screening Program recommends that I be screened again (both mammogram and MRI) in one year.
I am feeling a great sense of relief with this news. Now, I can start planning for surgery for spring/summer 2017, and I will not have to take any time off [my last year!!] of university.
Thank you to everyone who has asked Heidi and I how we are doing, whether in person, telephone, text, Facebook, email, etc. We really appreciate the support. We also appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share this blog with others. Many people have given us such positive feedback about what we are doing.
